When a person has cancer he/she may need to be admitted to hospital. We recognise that this can be a very difficult and anxious time for patients and families.
Our support aims;
- to ease transitions from home to hospital and from hospital to home
- to provide support and advice to hospital staff
We strive to achieve the above through regular visits by Hospice team members at Mater Dei and Sir Paul Boffa Oncology Hospital.
Our team members also make regular visits to various wards in other hospitals, private hospitals and nursing or residential home.
The Hospice medical officer holds a Palliative clinic once a month at Gozo General Hospital.
