We are seeking a Consultant/Specialist in Palliative Care to work in Hospice Malta’s new, 16 bed, in-patient Palliative Care complex/facility. You will provide leadership at Consultant level and will work with the existing multi-disciplinary Palliative Care teams within primary and community sectors to support, develop and deliver seamless integrated care to improve the experience for patients with palliative care needs.
The Ideal candidate will be: An established consultant in Palliative Care.
The successful candidate must eventually be listed in the Specialist Register kept by the Medical Council of Malta and must also be fully registered with the Medical Council of Malta before appointment.
The post is offered on a full-time basis however, the NGO would welcome discussion with individuals looking for a more flexible working pattern to support a different work life balance or are looking for a sabbatical position.

The Organisation offers its services through a professional multidisciplinary team. The patient-centered palliative care offered, targets the relief of pain and other physical symptoms; emotional, psycho-social, and spiritual issues as well as bereavement support. Additionally, education, advice and promotion of palliative care remain at the core of Hospice Malta’s services. In 2024, Hospice Malta will also be offering in-patient palliative care services through its new St Michael Hospice complex
