Nurse

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced nurse (at salary scale equivalent to gov. salary scales 9-10) to work within the Hospice Professional Care Team providing Palliative Care to patients and their families.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To work as part of a dedicated interdisciplinary team of professionals
• To assess, plan and implement individualised patient care plans
• To maintain appropriate and updated records of all sessions
• To liaise with and refer to other professionals or agencies when necessary
• To attend and take part in interdisciplinary team meetings
• To promote awareness of palliative care

Key Attributes

• A nursing qualification and warrant obtained from the Maltese Nursing and Midwifery Board
• A minimum of four years’ work experience as a nurse
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Proficient in written and verbal (Maltese and English) communication skills
• Able to work effectively on their own as well as within the team
• Effective time management skills
