Day Therapy Care Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a part time Day Therapy Care Assistant to work within the Hospice professional Care Team providing Palliative Care to patients and their families.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To work as part of a dedicated interdisciplinary team of professionals
  • To support the Day Therapy Unit Coordinator in her day to day functions
  • To ensure the wellbeing of patients during their stay at the Day Therapy and Hydro Therapy Unit
  • Able to aid patients with their mobility in a safe manner

Key Attributes

  • In possession of a Care Assistant Certificate or equivalent
  • A minimum of two years’ work experience as a Care Assistant or equivalent
  • Able to communicate well with patients, staff and volunteers
  • Proficient in written and verbal (Maltese and English) communication skills
  • Be computer literate
