European Certificate in Essential Palliative Care

COURSE FOR DOCTORS AND NURSES

One of Hospice Malta’s key objectives is to provide and facilitate education and training for professionals engaged in providing palliative care in Malta. The European Certificate in Essential Palliative Care is designed for professionals – doctors & nurses – to consolidate and develop their palliative care confidence and expertise. This course will commence in September 2024 with an introductory session and will then run for 9 weeks by distance learning. All candidates will be provided with a course handbook.

By the end of the course the participants will be required to provide a portfolio on a past or present case. For this process, they will benefit from the allocation of a facilitator to support and guide them accordingly. In addition, the assessment day will include a written component (multiple choice) and oral examination.

All of the course, including the assessment component will be held virtually. The course is set and supervised by Princess Alice Hospice, UK.

The successful candidate will be awarded the European Certificate in Essential Palliative Care.
