Duties and Responsibilities:

At Hospice Malta, your role will be far more than housekeeping you will be part of a compassionate team that ensures patients and families feel comforted, respected, and cared for during some of the most meaningful moments of their lives.

As a member of our team, you’ll play an essential behind-the-scenes role in maintaining a safe, dignified, and peaceful environment. Every space you clean and every room you prepare helps support the comfort, wellbeing, and dignity of those we serve. Duties include:

  • Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene throughout patient rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and clinical spaces.
  • Carrying out routine and deep cleaning in line with infection control and hospice standards.
  • Handling laundry duties, including collection, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linen and clothing.
  • Safely disposing of general and clinical waste in line with health and safety procedures.
  • Monitoring cleaning supplies and reporting replenishment stock levels.
  • Responding promptly to housekeeping requests from clinical and administrative teams.
  • Supporting room preparation for new admissions, visitors, and hospice activities.
  • Working closely with the Operations, Nursing, and Volunteer teams to maintain a serene, safe, and welcoming environment.
  • Assisting with event setup, ensuring spaces are prepared according to event requirements and organisational standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

Experienced in housekeeping, preferably within a hospitality, healthcare or care-home setting.

Remuneration:

A fair and competitive remuneration package is being offered commensurate with the successful candidate’s knowledge and experience.

  • A full-time position (Monday-Saturday), based in Santa Venera
