The role of the receptionist is integral to welcomes patients, families, staff, volunteers and other visitors in a friendly manner while providing guidance and support and carry out daily administrative work and incoming calls.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcomes patients, families, staff, volunteers and other visitors in a friendly manner while providing guidance and support;
- Carry out daily administrative work, including incoming calls;
- Operate digital equipment installed at reception according to the needs of Hospice Malta;
- Ensures upkeep at the reception area;
- Maintains records of visitors as well as calls received;
- Communicating with clients in a professional, compassionate and sensitive manner;
- Ensuring that any type of delivery is properly distributed within the Hospice team;
- Ensuring that the reception is manned at all times;
- Knowledgeable about services and procedures at Hospice Malta;
- Perform any other duties which may be given from the coordinator or chief from time to time.
Key attributes
- 2 years work experience in a front office setting preferably in a social and/or healthcare setting
- Excellent customer care service skills
- Excellent command of written and spoken Maltese and English
- Proficient in IT and Microsoft applications
- Be knowledgeable in handling office equipment
- Be a team player, flexible and organised
- Able to work on own initiative
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Availability to work all week including weekends on a shift basis.
Qualifications & Experience:
- The ideal Candidate needs to be in possession of a valid driving licence.
